Weight – We looked for lighter weights for ease of transport but didn’t want to sacrifice too much on durability or putting.

Ease of Storage – All the collapsible baskets we feature are easy to store away!

Simple Set-up – Not only did we want it to be easy to set up out of the box, but also each time we take it out! If it’s not simple to set up, we might be less inclined to take it out. That wouldn’t benefit anyone.

Sturdy Design – We don’t want you taking your travel basket to the dump in a few years. We want them to last!

Putting Practice – This is a big one! How good is it at catching putts? Given the ease of transport and the lighter weights, we should expect to give a little, but some of the baskets out there give far too much!

Weather Resistance – Honestly, we don’t like leaving these baskets out in the weather so we collected anecdotal evidence and all of the highlighted baskets acquitted themselves quite well according to others. And when we did leave them out by accident, there was no problem at all.

Warranty – In addition to a warranty, we wanted to make sure that the basket would hold up to wear and tear of repeated use. Our baskets passed these tests well!

Best Overall Collapsible Disc Golf Basket – The DGA Mach Lite!

In essence, it checks all the boxes we highlighted above, but we especially liked the sturdy, durable design. Combine this with its strong brand name reputation, and its ability to catch putts and you’ve got yourself a really nice foldable basket! Keep in mind that with all of this added durability and putt-catching, there will also be an increase in weight (It’s 25 pounds vs. 15 pounds for some of our other featured collapsible disc golf baskets) but we believe this exchange is well worth it!

Best Collapsible Disc Golf Basket on a Budget – HIAARO!

To say we were pleasantly surprised by HIAARO’s newer collapsible disc golf basket is a big understatement. This thing is impressive! Again, it checks a lot of those boxes and certainly catches a lot of shots/putts. In addition, it’s significantly lighter than the Mach Lite (15lbs. vs 25lbs.). You know where else it’s lighter than any other basket we feature? In your wallet! HIAARO’s high-quality basket comes at a significantly lower price and we wouldn’t fault you at all for saving some money.

We always like to note potential downsides so you know what you are getting into. Because HIAARO is newer to the disc golf market, it doesn’t yet have the trusted name (But it will if it keeps putting out products like this basket). And it also has a much shorter warranty (though we’ve had it for over 8 months and it’s going very strong).

There’s a lot to like with HIAARO!

Top Collapsible Basket For Life on the Road – Innova DISCatcher!

The Innova DISCatcher Traveler is one of the lightest foldable baskets and one of the easiest to set up. It’s got five feet for sure footing and it’s made of durable and weather-resistant materials. You can read our full review here.

All this amounts to a great collapsible disc golf basket for those that like to take their basket all over the place.

Of the three baskets mentioned in this post, the Innova DISCatcher Traveler is probably the least conducive for putting. With its light weight chains (of which there are less) it makes sense that it definitely caught the least putts naturally.

Nevertheless it’s a fantastic and fun travel basket that you can quickly take with you almost anywhere you go and give yourself a great target at the same time.
