Streamline Range – An Introduction
If you are hunting for a just-right approach disc that holds its line, battles headwind, rarely overshoots the basket, and sits pretty much where it lands, the Streamline Range could be just the disc you are looking for.
We put this disc on a lot of angles and threw it at a lot of speeds, forehand and backhand. In the end, this disc can handle what you give it.

It holds some pretty steep angles, even with a flick, and this can allow you to put it close from some pretty tight spots on the course.
And let’s not forget, part of its design is so it doesn’t overshoot the basket. If this is a problem for you, a low-glide 2-speed like t\The Range, could be exactly what you are looking for. It seems like every time you think you’ve put too much on it, there it is next to the basket.
Finally, because it’s Streamline and a bit easier to manufacture with a single mold, this disc can be had at a really nice price.
For grip, we liked the puddle-top, rounded thumb-track, that The Range sports, but we also recognize this might not be for everyone.
All told, this is an aptly-named disc that we think will help you put it close from range!
Choosing Your Range Plastic
When it comes to a disc that we deem to be primarily an approach disc, we like the idea of choosing a soft plastic.
It’s just that much more likely to sit where it lands.
Streamline a few options, but the Neutron Soft SL has done well by us. It feels great, sits down and is still quite durable.
That being said, nobody will fault you if you are intrigued by their best-in-class glow plastic, Eclipse SL. We have a post on Best Glow Discs in Disc Golf, and MVP’s glow consistently ranks the highest.
Those are our ideas, but we think you’ll like this disc in whatever plastic you choose!

The Streamline Range – Wrapping Up!
We like this disc a lot!
It’s versatility and consistency allows you to approach the basket from all over the course with all types of shots.
And occasionally, it even finds those chains!
But if you want to have more confidence in your approach game and land it close without overshooting, we really like The Range.
For extra peace of mind, we recommend it in a soft plastic for that extra soft landing.
Add in that it comes at a great price and there is a lot to like!
The Range could be just the disc you desire to take the fear out of those tricky approach shots and land it close!
