In today’s post we do a complete review on the Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder. This rangefinder is relatively new to the disc golf market, and has plenty to consider so you can make a great decision for yourself.

Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder – An Introduction

The Eagle Seeker 360 is a newer model on the disc golf scene and we were eager to see if it lived up to its early reputation for being an accurate, long-distance rangefinder.

Right off the bat, in their advertisements, the makers of the Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder, brought out David Wiggins Jr. as a spokesperson.

David Wiggins Jr. for those of us who haven’t found out yet, is the holder of the disc golf distance record of a wind-assisted throw over 1,100 feet.

He’s also won other distance records under more normal conditions.

But the point is, he throws really far and needs a rangefinder that gives him accurate readings from long range.

And apart from long range accuracy, we wanted to compare it to other rangefinders we’ve tested and check out user-friendliness, visibility, battery type, and other features to see if it’s a good product at a reasonable price.

In the end, this rangefinder earns it’s spot among the 5 Best Disc Golf Rangefinders!

So, without further ado, let’s get into it!

Eagle Seeker 360 – Pros

We took the Eagle Seeker 360 out to some popular spots and compared it against some other rangefinders to test a few measurables, as well as a few that are more subjective attributes. And all told, the Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder held up quite well against leading competitors. Let’s see the positives we found.

Accuracy – The Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder was very accurate. We compared it against other rangefinders, Udisc measurements, using old-fashioned measuring tapes and more! It was very accurate which is also very important!

Long Range – These guys claim this rangefinder is accurate up to 3,280 feet. That is over 6/10 of a mile! We could not find a way to accurately measure that (nor did we feel a need to). Most disc golfers top out at less than 400 feet of distance. A much lower percentage get to 500 feet. You can see where we’re going here. In our sport, you don’t need anything close to 3,000 feet. Still, it’s fun to know it can do that. And at the very long distances we tested it, it held up!

6X Magnification – If you are going to be ranging from longer distances, you need to be able to accurately find the target and feel assured that you got the target vs. a tree or some other obstacle. Having a highly magnified viewing lens is incredibly helpful for this and makes ranging from all distances that much easier. This viewing experience is very similar to that of the Bushnell Rangefinder that we reviewed.

Close Range Accuracy – Not quite as enticing but infinitely more important! This rangefinder was, in fact, accurate for close ranges (even under 10 feet). This means we can get accurate readings for upshots and approaches and select the right disc for the job.

Calculates Elevation/Slope – No need to switch modes. Each reading gives you an elevation and slope reading. This is super helpful and important to disc golfers as slope can greatly affect which disc you choose.

Comfortable Hand Feel – Not only is the viewing experience good, but it’s got a good grip to it that makes you feel certain you won’t be dropping your valuable tool no matter the conditions. This probably leads nicely into the next benefit as well.

Weather Resistant – We did NOT test this thoroughly but we did take it out in some rain and it was not affected during or after. You can imagine, based on its “rubberized grip” and “weather resistant housing” that is well protected from the elements. This gives a little piece of mind that it won’t get ruined in the many instances where it can get a little wet on the course.

Rechargeable Battery – The Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder comes with a rechargeable battery and a USB-C cord. No need to go out and buy batteries. This is a nice convenience to have.

Holds Charge – The battery it comes with is more than adequate and holds its charge quite well! You will not be needing to recharge it during a round or even round to round. It also has a charge indicator to let you know when the battery is getting low!

Aesthetic – This is personal preference, but The Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder had a nice look to it, and on a practical note, it is also easy to locate if you put it down, based on the “cyan blue” that really stands out!

Comes with Carrying Case – It is nice to have a trusted place to put your rangefinder and know it is better suited to withstand some bumps and knocks along the way!

Competitive Pricing – Given all the upside that we listed, The Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder also comes at a nice price point significantly below some of the others we have reviewed. To date, the lowest priced rangefinder we’ve reviewed is the Rogue Iron Rangefinder. Still, this one has a lower price than most others!

Factors to Consider on the Eagle Seeker 360!

When you are purchasing a rangefinder, you want to feel assured you are getting the best one for you. With that in mind, we like to point out some other factors to consider, so you can feel assured that you’ve found the right fit.

Shorter Warranty – This rangefinder comes with a 30-day warranty. Compared to others that come with 1-year up to 5-year warranties. This connects to our next factor to consider…

Newer to the Market – There’s nothing that can be done about this one. It is what it is. Still, because it hasn’t been on the market as long, there is no way to really know how durable it is and whether it withstands the test of time. Our guess is that it is durable, but we’d like to see a longer warranty for the added peace of mind…

Not the only rangefinder that measures meters, feet and yards! – We’re not sure why they advertise they are the only one that measures in feet, yards and meters. Most of the other rangefinders we’ve reviewed do as well.

Carrying Case is OK – Don’t get us wrong, some sort of carrying case is better than no carrying case. We just wish it was a little more user friendly for the true disc golf experience.

One Minor Suggestion for the Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder!

When Version 2.0 comes out we have one minor suggestion.

In fact, we had the same suggestion in our review of The Rogue Iron Rangefinder because we liked it so much with the Apex NP-600 Disc Golf Rangefinder we reviewed.

That suggestion is this: Have a reading that uses the slope data and calculates the relative distance to the target.

A lot of us are simple people that don’t want to do math on the course. Furthermore, half the time we forget what the calculation even is.

Is it 10 feet of added distance for every 3 feet of elevation?

You have all the info there. You’ve done the hard part.

Can you put that relative distance in for us on the next version!

If the answer is “no” we’ll understand. I suppose we can do the math. But it never hurts to ask.

The Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder – In Summary

All things considered, the Eagle Seeker 360 Disc Golf Rangefinder is a really nice piece of equipment.

It checks a lot of boxes.

It’s very precise from long distances, short distances, and every distance in between.

It’s user-friendly in that it’s easy to use, easy to see through, and feels really good in the hand.

It also looks good and is tougher to lose given its coloring.

Throw in the fact that it comes with a rechargeable battery, a USB-C cord, a lens cloth, and a carry case ALL at a very competitive price, and you’ve got you should feel pretty good about picking this one up.

Would we like to see a longer warranty, some assurance that it will endure, as well as a better case? Sure, but no product is perfect.
