Should You Sign Up for The Disc Golf Network (DGN) To Watch the Disc Golf Pro Tour?

This post weighs whether it’s worth it for you to sign up for the Disc Golf Network (DGN) to watch the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT). It will also show you how and where to sign up AND how to get some discounts if and when you do!

Please raise your right hand and repeat after me…

I, Mister Disc (that’s me), do solemnly swear, not to publicly complain about any disruptions in coverage, pixelated screens, announcing crews, or anything else related to the Disc Golf Network’s coverage of this rapidly growing sport.

In addition, I promise not to publicly make suggestions on how the DGN could improve their coverage. I understand that the coverage has come a long ways and I promise to be grateful for the ever-improving coverage that I get, so help me Disc Golf Gods…

Mister Disc repeats…

Should You Sign Up for DGN?

So, if you read the intro, I think your answer just depends on how you feel about it.

We’re all different, so there’s no judgment here.

By and large I would say that the DGN puts a very good product.

But if you are the type of person that gets very aggravated and personally interrupted by breaks in coverage, then it might not be for you. These things happen and they will continue to happen until more money, more cell coverage, etc. are available.

If, like me, you know that it comes with the territory and you’re willing to let it slide when it occasionally occurs, then it’s probably a good deal!

But, I’ve got a great way for you to know for sure!

Did You Know You Can Try For Free?

If you are not sure how you’ll react, I’ve got a great way for you to find out without spending a dime.

Did you know that the DGN airs the first round of each tournament (usually a Friday but sometimes a Thursday) for free on YouTube?

So why not watch round 1 for a few tournaments and see how it sits with you? That way you can get the experience and see if the Disc Golf Network is a good fit for your viewing style.

And if it is a good fit, here’s how you sign up!

How to Sign Up for Disc Golf Network (DGN)

Once you have decided that it is a good fit for you, signing up is rather easy.

Just go to the Disc Golf Network’s sign-up page

Then, click the red Subscribe button, follow the prompts, enter your info, and off you go.

Normally, the fee is 12.99 per month.

How to Get a Great Discount!

This post will show you how to get your PDGA Membership and your discount!

So, when you click on the link above to sign up (also here), don’t forget to click on the link that reads:

“PDGA MEMBERS CLICK HERE TO GENERATE YOUR DISCOUNT CODE” (not an actual link)

Then just put in your PDGA number and your attached email address. This generates a coupon code which you can apply when you pay.

With that simple action you are getting yourself a 50% discount! (Note: Discount is good for one year).

Well worth it if you ask me!

If you don’t have a PDGA Membership, you can read about the benefits and how to sign up here!

Are There Any Other Benefits to signing up for DGN?

I haven’t personally accessed these a whole lot yet. However, a Disc Golf Network (DGN) membership does have some other benefits that come with it.

In essence, it’s more content.

Whether it’s post-produced tournament play, disc golf shows, podcasts, or interviews, DGN does have content that you can only get with a DGN membership.

Just a little more incentive to give it a go!

Is The Disc Golf Network (DGN) Worth it? In Summary

Like I said, it depends on the viewer. On the whole, the DGN puts on a good show.

If you are expecting near-perfection, however, then maybe it’s not for you yet.

On the other hand, if you need more flying disc content in your life, and you don’t mind some glitches here and there, I think it’s absolutely worth it, especially with that PDGA Membership discount.

If you do end up signing up, just raise your right hand and take that pledge I took at the beginning.

You’ll be happier for it and you can watch your favorite players compete along with the steady evolution of the DGN as it tirelessly works to give you the coverage you crave…
