Course review Introduction
Living Memorial Park, being a short ways over the border from Massachusetts, is definitely a park I will revisit. Built on the side of a mountain (with a ski slope) it has a lot of fun shots that you can watch soar.

It also has some interesting shots in the woods, and I had a great time exploring it.
As it stood, and because of the ski season that was still technically in play, it was set to its winter layout and I’m intrigued to see it in action in the Summer as well.
Nevertheless, I was able to play a lot of great holes on a really fun layout. And for those of you that like a little challenge, there’s definitely some very tight lines on some of the holes as well. Let’s give it a look.

Signature Holes
These are just the opinion of the writer. With each course I like to showcase a few holes and explain what stuck out to me on that particular day. Then, I let the photos do the talking…
Hole 7 – This hole was fun, short and difficult. I played a few shots off the tee, and was still unclear which line to choose. But that’s the fun of disc golf!

Hole 16 – This entire back section of the course is nice level ground in the woods at the top of the mountain. 16 was my favorite of the bunch!

Ideas to Borrow for Future Course
Some day I would like to construct my own disc golf course. Come along for the ride and see if I do (Subscribe)! With each course, I play, I want to find some element that I appreciate and can use for a course I help create some day…
Living Memorial Park Disc Golf Course in Brattleboro, Vermont had a few ideas I would borrow for future courses. Some of them are in my control, and others not so much (I can’t manufacture a mountain).
The first element that I appreciated was the fact that it had a lot of downhill, majestic shots due to the fact that it was on the side of a mountain. That’s just fun but not so easily replicated.
One other element I appreciated was a course layout and an old school scorecard (with the map on it) so that you could keep score and not get as lost without your phone. I think I would take that extra step, because I like the touch.
Finally, I always appreciate the element of having different tee pads for different levels. If the sport is to continue to grow, it needs to have that variability players of all levels to be able to access it.
19th Hole
After a round there is nothing better than going to a local establishment, having a beer (or whatever you want), some food, and talking about your round (or just disc golf in general). This section is always open to suggestions on where the best place to go after your round is…

I didn’t have time on this particular day, but if I did, after the round you would find me at Whetstone Beer Co. Craft Beers.
Any chance I get to try a new brewpub, I take.
The food looks delicious and reasonably priced as well!
Living Memorial Park Disc Golf Course – In Summary
Living Memorial Park Disc Golf Course in Brattleboro, Vermont was well worth the trip. With towering majestic downhill shots and nice wooded holes as well, there is a lot of fun variety to the course.
When you add in the fact that there are different tees for different leveled disc golfers, and that they are constantly adding to and upgrading the course, and I think it will be a fun course to visit for many years to come.
